Pay Rate: \xc2\xa328000- \xc2\xa343685 per annum

GSL Education Lincolnshire is delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Food Technology Teacher to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. This role is based in Coningsby and offers a competitive annual salary depending on your experience and qualifications.

As a Food Technology Teacher, you will have a unique opportunity to share your passion for culinary arts and nutrition with students. Your role will involve teaching various aspects of food preparation, cooking techniques, nutrition, and food safety, empowering students to develop valuable life skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Planning and delivering engaging and interactive food technology lessons that cover a range of topics, from basic cooking skills to advanced culinary techniques.
• Teaching students about the nutritional value of different foods and the importance of a balanced diet.
• Demonstrating and supervising cooking techniques, guiding students in creating a variety of dishes.
• Promoting food safety practices and proper hygiene in the kitchen environment.
• Encouraging students to explore their creativity in cooking and develop a deeper appreciation for culinary arts.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Strong passion for food technology, culinary arts, and nutrition.
• Comprehensive knowledge of cooking techniques, food safety, and nutrition principles.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to engage and inspire students.
• Possession of an Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service, or the willingness to apply for one through GSL Education.
