Job Title: Food Technology Teacher

Location: Rotherham, South Yorkshire

: We are currently seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Food Technology Teacher to join our dedicated faculty. As a Food Technology Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and innovative lessons that inspire and challenge students. Your role will involve teaching Food Technology to students at various levels, including Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.

Responsibilities of the food technology teacher:

• Design and deliver high-quality lessons that meet the curriculum requirements and engage students in the subject of Food Technology.
• Develop and implement creative teaching methods to enhance student\'s understanding and practical skills in food preparation, nutrition, and food science.
• Assess and evaluate student\'s progress through regular assignments, projects, and examinations.
• Provide timely feedback to students and parents/guardians to support their academic development.
• Maintain a safe and organised classroom environment conducive to effective learning.
• Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to curriculum development and the sharing of best practices.
• Supervise and support students during practical sessions, ensuring adherence to health and safety guidelines.
• Participate in departmental meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and other school events as required.

Requirements:

• A recognised teaching qualification, such as a Bachelor\'s degree in Food Technology or related field, along with relevant teaching certification.
• A genuine passion for Food Technology and a strong understanding of the subject matter.
• Previous experience teaching Food Technology, preferably at the secondary school level.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Up-to-date knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment requirements.
