Our agency is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Food Technology Teacher to join a prestigious secondary school in Lancaster. As a Food Technology Teacher, you will have the chance to shape the future of budding chefs and nutritionists by delivering engaging and dynamic lessons.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in Food Technology to students at various levels, ensuring the curriculum is covered effectively.
• Inspire and motivate students to develop a love for food, nutrition, and culinary arts.
• Foster a positive learning environment that encourages student participation and achievement.
• Assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback and support for their development.
• Utilize modern teaching techniques, resources, and technologies to enhance the learning experience.
• Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the overall development of the Food Technology department.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and attainment.

Requirements:

• Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent certification in Food Technology or a related subject.
• A strong background in Food Technology, with up-to-date knowledge of current trends and practices in the field.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage and connect with students of different abilities.
• Enthusiasm for teaching and the ability to inspire students to achieve their full potential.
• Organizational skills to plan and deliver effective lessons, manage time efficiently, and meet deadlines.
• Flexibility to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of individual students.
• Experience in teaching Food Technology at a secondary school level is preferred, but newly qualified teachers are also encouraged to apply.
