Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Assistant Football Coach to join our coaching staff. The successful candidate will play a vital role in developing players' skills, fostering teamwork, and promoting a positive sporting environment. This position requires a strong understanding of football strategies and the ability to educate athletes at various skill levels.

Responsibilities

Assist the Head Coach in planning and executing training sessions that enhance players' technical skills and tactical understanding of the game. Educate players on game rules, strategies, and sportsmanship to promote fair play and respect on and off the field. Provide individual feedback and guidance to players to help them improve their performance. Support the organisation of team activities, including matches, tournaments, and community events. Foster a positive team culture that encourages participation, teamwork, and personal growth among all players. Monitor players' progress throughout the season and communicate effectively with parents regarding their development. Collaborate with other coaching staff to ensure a cohesive approach to player development.

Requirements

Previous experience in sports coaching or a strong background in football is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate and motivate young athletes. A deep understanding of football tactics, techniques, and training methodologies. Strong organisational skills to manage training schedules and team logistics effectively. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends during the season. A commitment to fostering an inclusive environment that promotes diversity within the team.
