Are you passionate about outdoor education and inspiring young minds through hands-on learning in nature? We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated
Forest School Teacher
to join our team and deliver engaging, nature-based sessions for children in a school setting. This is a part-time position with the potential for additional hours in the future.
Key Responsibilities
:
Plan and deliver inspiring Forest School sessions that promote teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
Foster a safe and supportive environment where children can explore, learn, and thrive outdoors.
Teach essential outdoor skills such as shelter building, fire safety, and nature crafts, while encouraging environmental stewardship.
Adapt activities to meet the needs and abilities of all children, including those with SEND.
Collaborate with school staff to integrate Forest School principles into the broader curriculum.
Ensure all activities comply with health and safety regulations, including risk assessments and safeguarding policies.
About You
:
A recognised Forest School qualification (Level 2 or Level 3 preferred).
Experience working with children in an outdoor or educational setting.
A passion for outdoor learning and the ability to engage children in a fun, creative way.
Strong understanding of health and safety, risk assessments, and safeguarding practices.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
A DBS check on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
