Job Description
Orbital Direct Limited, based in Loughborough, services customers throughout the UK and Internationally, supplying UK logistics, warehousing as well as imports and exports by air, road or sea freight.
We are now looking for a Multimodal Freight Forwarder. You will be handling all aspects of International Multi modal Freight forwarding movements, both Import and Export by Sea, Air and Land freight. Liaising with customers and suppliers to ensure all needs are met within the specified delivery time, creating customs declarations in line with HMRC and current legislation.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
You will have at least two years experience within the Air, Road or Sea freight managing either imports or exports. Have excellent customer service skills. Experience in quoting and planning customers shipments in any of the transport modes. A good understanding of customs . Would be open to overseas travel for conferences and networking events.
RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE
Creating quotations. Processing bookings. Assisting with international freight documentation. Dealing with customer enquiries and queries. Generating leads for the sales team. Some marketing activities. Working with suppliers and sub-contractors. Answering phone calls. Maintaining the CRM and booking system. Taking responsibility of the out of hours phones on a rota.

Pay: 25,000.00-35,000.00 per year
