Freight Forwarder
Location: Stoke
Hours: Monday to Friday
Salary: Up to 30,000 per annum
The role:
Our client is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Freight Forwarder to with proven experience in managing end-to-end logistics operations. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of international and domestic freight processes, including air, sea, and road transportation, as well as customs regulations and compliance requirements.
Main duties:

• Oversee and coordinate the movement of cargo across various modes of transport
• Negotiate rates and service agreements with carriers to achieve cost efficiency and high service standards
• Ensure full adherence to shipping regulations, including FDA requirements for applicable shipments
• Prepare and maintain accurate documentation and shipping records
• Partner with the sales team to support lead generation and manage freight forwarding opportunities
• Track shipments throughout transit and provide timely status updates to clients
• Collaborate with third-party logistics (3PL) partners to enhance operational efficiency and service quality

About you:

• Demonstrated background in freight forwarding or related logistics roles is highly preferred
• In-depth knowledge of supply chain operations and core logistics practices
• Proven ability to negotiate effectively, securing cost-efficient and favourable freight arrangements
• Skilled in accurate data management and documentation, with strong attention to detail in reporting
• Experience in customer service or sales within the logistics industry is an advantage
