We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our friendly Pub/Guest House in Hove.
This is a newly created role due to the expansion of the business and a drive towards new business ideas and different growth opportunities. It encompasses a range of different duties with a focus on administrative tasks, as well as face to face hospitality duties. The Gather Inn is both a Bar and Guest House, we have 20 rooms that can host up to 65 people and we also have a function Bar. We are looking for people that can help us to research new ideas, budget plan, help organise events and activities, contact suppliers and potential business opportunities, draft emails and personally assist Management on projects/ day to day tasks.As a key member of our hospitality team, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional service to our customers. Your bar responsibilities will include serving food & drinks, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all guests. The successful candidate will be trained on our property management system and will be involved checking in and out guests, responding to emails and customer queries.An interest in social media/photography/creating website content/blogs & posters would be a huge advantage.We love to have fun but we know that great customer service and professionalism is key. No day is ever the same and that's why we love what we do. The ideal applicant will have a great personality and sense of humour, be flexible and able to turn their hand to anything.This is a hospitality job and so does involve weekend work but we believe in a good work/ life balance and so once fully trained, our aim is to rotate weekend shifts with existing staff to ensure varied hours on weekends and some weekends off.

Duties:
Reception duties - Checking guests in, dealing with enquiries, making bookings, providing quotes
Help organise events by contacting suppliers/conducting research
Book functions and handle the guests/ book security/ take payments
Work with Managers on Guest reward schemes/ new business opportunities
Engage with customers to provide an enjoyable experience
Serve beverages and food items promptly and efficiently to customers.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area
Handle cash and card transactions accurately
Collaborate with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods
Provide exceptional customer service to our guest house guests and ensure each guest feels welcome and wanting to return
Respond to emails/requests/complaints in a professional manner
Shut/Open the bar with precision
We're looking to cover this role by employing one or two new people and can be a little flexible on hours/days, that's why the range is 12-37 hours. If you have a passion for hospitality and enjoy working in a fast-paced, fun setting, we would love to hear from you.
