We currently have an amazing opportunity to join the team as a Front of House Manager.



Please note this is a hands on role and not office based.

Requirements:



As a Front of House Manager you will be expected to:


Ensure that highest levels of customer service are delivered to our guests. Understand the impact of effective cost control while undertaking the role. Ensure that a good level of product and local knowledge for guests when requested. Ensure the resturant operation is running efficently and covered where needed Ensure co operation and compliance with all legislation relevant to your role in the business. Ensure that Learning and Development is undertaken to enable you to fulfil your job role.

The ideal person will have at least 1 years' experience in a similar position and will have the ability to deliver great service to our guests.



We are looking for someone who is passionate about hospitality, that is reliable and willing to learn as part of this growing team.


Duties will include:



Ensuring efficient friendly service is offered when dealing with all guest requirements at the front desk and handling all guest enquiries effectively.

Ensure all staff are fully aware of the booking procedures to maximise the sale and revenue in the hotel.

Co-operating with all departments in the hotel to ensure the correct reports and information are provided on request.

Ensure the front of house areas are kept presentable and manned at all times.

Demonstrating a working knowledge of all services and facilities of the hotel and the local area.

You and the team will be responsible for maximising all revenues in line with the Company standards.

Out of all of the hotels in Hexham and Chollerford, The George is in one of the most wonderful positions on the pretty North Tyne River, near to the walking route for Hadrian's Wall and five minutes' walk to Chester's roman fort. Browse the shops, galleries, theatre and arts centre clustered round the medieval Abbey in nearby Hexham or explore Muckle Moss National Nature Reserve, the North Pennines, Kielder Water and the International Dark Skies Park.



In total The George Hotel sports 47 bedrooms, offering a choice of standard single rooms or twin and double rooms at a standard, premier or superior tier. Each room contains the familiar comforts including a tea and coffee making station, in-room safe, en-suite and TV.



The George's on-site restaurant serves breakfast and evening meals with a diverse menu that incorporates much of the local and regional produce served with a modern twist. During the day, guests are welcome to visit the bar for a light lunchtime meal.



The hotel's leisure club is also open for guests. This includes a swimming pool and gym for visitors who would like to relax or fit in an early morning or late evening workout during their stay.
