The Cock and Bottle, a well-loved town centre pub in Skipton, is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Front of House Manager to lead our team and help deliver exceptional service every day.

About the Role

As Front of House Manager, you will be the face of the venue, responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere, driving team performance, and ensuring smooth day-to-day service. Working closely with the Managing Director, you will play a key role in the success and reputation of this busy, community-focused pub.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, train, and motivate the front of house team to deliver outstanding service Oversee daily service, ensuring a smooth guest experience from open to close Manage bookings, customer enquiries, and feedback with a positive attitude Support with rota planning, recruitment, and staff development Maintain exacting standards of cleanliness, presentation, and atmosphere throughout the venue Work collaboratively with the bar teams for seamless service Drive sales through engagement, product knowledge, and upselling Aid with cash handling, stock control, and general administrative duties
About You

Previous supervisory or management experience within hospitality (pub/bar experience ideal) Friendly, confident and a natural leader who leads by example Excellent communication and people skills Passionate about customer service with a hands-on approach Organised, reliable and able to thrive in a busy environment Flexible with working hours, including evenings and weekends
