We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Front of House Manager to lead our hospitality team in delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong management skills, a passion for food and beverage service, and a proven track record in restaurant operations. This role involves overseeing daily front-of-house activities, supervising staff, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for guests. Previous experience in casual dining, fine dining, or hospitality management is highly valued. The Front of House Manager will play a key role in maintaining operational excellence and fostering a positive team environment.
Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate front-of-house staff to ensure efficient service delivery
Oversee food preparation, presentation, and service standards to meet quality expectations
Manage POS systems for order processing and cash handling
Conduct staff training on food safety, customer service, and operational procedures
Monitor inventory control and assist with food management to minimize waste and control costs
Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally to enhance guest satisfaction
Oversee shift management, ensuring proper staffing levels during peak hours
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area in compliance with health regulations
Assist with hiring, interviewing, and onboarding new team members
Collaborate with kitchen management on food production, catering, banquet events, and bar services
Ensure adherence to food safety standards and sanitation protocols across all front-of-house operations
Support budgeting efforts and monitor operational expenses related to the front of house
Qualifications
Proven experience in restaurant management or hospitality management roles, preferably within casual dining or fine dining environments
Strong leadership skills with experience in staff training & development, supervision, and team management
Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS; cash handling experience required
Knowledge of food safety standards and food handling procedures
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to resolve issues effectively
Experience in managing inventory control, food production, catering, and banquet services is preferred
Ability to manage shift schedules efficiently while maintaining high service standards
Previous experience with kitchen or culinary operations is advantageous but not mandatory
Strong communication skills with the ability to interview, train, motivate staff, and foster teamwork
Background in hospitality or hotel experience is a plus; culinary or food industry experience is beneficial
