We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Front of House Manager to support the General Manager and oversee daily operations within our vibrant cafe establishment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in contract catering, restaurant or hotel environments, with excellent leadership and team management skills.

We also want someone who is flexible and willing to work weekends, as this contract requires some shifts over the weekend

and all team members are expected to contribute and cover these shifts.
Duties
Supervise front of house staff to ensure smooth daily operations
Oversee food service procedures, including liasing with the Head Chef on food preparation and presentation standards
Manage the staffing rota to ensure all shifts are covered
Maintain high standards of hospitality by delivering excellent customer service and addressing guest concerns promptly
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and health & safety protocols across all front of house activities
Coordinate with kitchen staff to facilitate food production and ensure timely delivery of orders
Lead staff training programmes on service excellence, food safety, and hospitality standards
Monitor cleanliness and organisation of the front of house area to uphold a welcoming environment
Assist in inventory management for beverages and supplies
Support marketing initiatives by promoting special events or menu items to enhance guest experience
Requirements
Proven experience in contract catering or restaurant or hotel environments, ideally with supervising or managerial responsibilities
Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking, food safety standards, and culinary practices
Experience in team management and leadership within a hospitality setting
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure
Knowledge of food production processes and kitchen operations is advantageous
Demonstrated ability to lead a team with professionalism and enthusiasm
Good communication skills to liaise effectively with staff and guests
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required
