Overview

We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic and dedicated Floor Staff to join our team in a vibrant restaurant environment. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will play an essential role in ensuring that our guests have a memorable dining experience. Your responsibilities will encompass various aspects of guest services, food preparation, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.

Duties

Provide exceptional guest services by greeting and assisting customers in a friendly and professional manner. Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring all dietary requirements are noted. Assist in food preparation while adhering to food safety standards and regulations. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, kitchen, and service stations. Support the kitchen staff in food preparation tasks as needed, demonstrating a basic understanding of culinary techniques. Engage with guests to promote menu items through effective upselling techniques. Handle cash transactions and perform basic maths for billing purposes. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy service periods.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a restaurant is preferred. Knowledge of food safety practices and procedures is advantageous. Strong communication skills with the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. A passion for providing excellent customer service and helping others. Basic culinary skills or knowledge would be beneficial but not mandatory. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required by the business needs.
