Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Front of the house to join our team in Pepe's Piri Piri Dundee .

The ideal candidate will assist in serving customer, ensuring the kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently and maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene. This role involves taking orders from the guests, serving the guests, making sure the front is nice and clean and also help kitchen with food preparation, and ensuring the kitchen operates smoothly. Duties

Taking orders over the counter or over the phone. Making sure to guests are comfortable during their dinning experience. Assist with meal preparation and cooking as directed by the head chef or kitchen manager. Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are adhered to at all times. Help with the preparation of ingredients for catering events and restaurant services. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing up utensils and equipment. Support the team during busy service periods by helping with food preparation tasks as needed. Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to ensure consistency in food quality. Assist in inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting shortages to management.

Requirements

Previous experience in customer service. Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred but not essential; training will be provided. Knowledge of food safety practices is essential; a food hygiene certificate is an advantage. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new culinary skills. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
