Full Stack Software Developer

Location

: Remote(from UK based home address - please note that in person attendance to final interview is required)

Hours

: 08:00 to 16:30 (with 1 hr unpaid break for lunch)

Contract

: Full time, fixed term contract for 1 year (with possibility of extension depending on business need)

Salary

: 40,000 - 45,000 per annum (depending on experience)

: Head of Engineering

Role Overview

We're looking for a versatile and experienced Full Stack Developer to join our growing engineering team.


You will play a key role in building and maintaining scalable web applications that support our digital platforms and internal tools.


This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who enjoys working across the stack and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain robust full-stack applications using modern frameworks. Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to deliver high-quality features. Write clean, testable, and efficient code using best practices. Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and agile ceremonies. Troubleshoot and resolve bugs, performance issues, and production incidents.

Requirements:

Essential

2+ years of experience in full stack development Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and React Experience with Django and MySQL Strong problem-solving and communication skills Ability to work independently and in a team

Desirable

Exposure to mobile development (React Native) Background in edtech or education platforms Familiarity with other backend frameworks or CMS platforms

: reviewed by the hiring team on an ongoing basis. If an application is of interest, the candidate will be issued with a technical test (from TestGorilla) to complete. The hiring lead will arrange a remote call with applicants who successfully complete the test to discuss it along with the role and expectations.

Interviews:

those who successfully complete the test to the expected level and remote call with the hiring lead, will be invited to a face to face interview at our London Head Office (currently planned for w/c 1st September 2025)
