Responsibilities

Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation. Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications. Manage food production processes, including ordering supplies, inventory management, and waste reduction. Lead and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team environment. Supervise food preparation activities to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Collaborate with management on menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and trends. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to hygiene standards. Assist in training new staff members in culinary techniques and kitchen procedures.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role within the restaurant industry. Strong culinary skills with knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines. Excellent leadership abilities with experience in team management and supervision. A passion for hospitality and delivering outstanding customer service. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food preparation.
