Overview

We are seeking a skilled Sewing Machinist to join our dynamic and busy team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in sewing machining and have experience in making scatter cushion covers and upholstery cushion covers. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to operate various industrial sewing machines, over-lockers and walking foot etc. Familiarity with sewing is an added advantage, as it may be beneficial for specific projects.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate machines Read and interpret orders accurately Perform routine maintenance on machines and troubleshoot any issues that arise during operation. Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations. Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and deadlines. Required Mon-Thu 7am - 3pm, Fri - 7am -1pm (there is some flexibility on this) Paid lunch break of 30 mins 4 weeks paid holiday (some used over Christmas close down) 12 week trial to start with. Staff uniform after completion of trial.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Machinist or in a similar role within a similar manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of machining processes, tools, and equipment. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Experience with sewing is highly desirable but not essential. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team. Commitment to maintaining safety standards in the workplace.

Pay: 12.21-12.40 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
