At Brindisa, we specialize in the finest Spanish cheeses, bringing the rich traditions and flavours of Spain to the UK. Our commitment to quality and authenticity has made us a trusted name in the fine food industry, and we're looking for an experienced Cheesemonger to join our team.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Cheesemonger who will also assist in the maturing process of our Spanish cheeses. In this role, you'll share your knowledge of Spanish cheeses with colleagues, visitors while helping monitor and manage their aging in our maturing rooms to ensure the highest quality.

Key Responsibilities:

Cheesemongering:

Cut, weigh, wrap and display cheeses, ensuring quality and freshness.

Maintain cheese displays and assist with tastings and promotions.

Uphold high standards of hygiene and food safety.

Maturing Room Assistance:

Monitor the aging process of cheeses, ensuring the right conditions for each variety.

Turn, rotate, or wash cheeses as needed to support optimal maturation.

Report on cheese progress and help address any production issues.

Maintain inventory levels and proper storage in the maturing rooms.

Qualifications:

Experience as a Cheesemonger, ideally with knowledge of Spanish cheeses (e.g., Manchego, Cabrales, Mahon).

Familiarity with cheese aging processes and handling techniques.

Strong customer service skills and the ability to engage and educate others.

Attention to detail and a passion for quality cheese.

Flexibility to work hours, during holidays some weekends.

Pay: 28,800.00-30,500.00 per year
