WHAT YOU LL DO
You will join a critical function at an exciting time as we build our global Employee Relations team. The Global Employee Relations Director will provide consistent execution and delivery of HR services in the areas of employee relations and investigations, analysis, HR policies and procedures, and special projects designed to build ER competence and confidence, and improve the employee experience in BCG.

Other important areas of responsibility will include:

  • Inspect and refine the ER Operating model, to ensure it is responding to the needs of the organisation
  • Build ER capability and consistency in the Global ER COE to mitigate employment risk and protect the employee experience.
  • Provide structure, competence and process for managing, addressing, recording and reporting on ER matters.
  • Provide expertise and consultation to the business in addressing employee behavior, including the development and delivery of appropriate interventions that align with the firm s values and processes.
  • Resolve complex workplace matters, including using early dispute resolution techniques.
  • In collaboration with internal legal counsel, provide effective guidance, advice and referrals on policies, procedures and laws and regulations to ensure compliance with policies and local employment laws.
  • Supervise the drafting, review, maintenance, and communication of HR policies and procedures in compliance with local employment laws.
  • Audit HR practices in conjunction with HR colleagues to ensure regulatory compliance.
YOU RE GOOD AT
  • You have a track record in building sustainable and trusting relationships with HR colleagues and line leaders to pre-empt, understand and respond to ER needs across the world.
  • You run complex and high risk investigations, including managing senior stakeholders and advising on very serious outcomes.
  • You have built detailed ER toolkits and other practical solutions to enable colleagues to conduct other ER activities (such as investigations) independently and successfully.
  • You have designed and delivered successful and scalable ER training interventions to prevent and mitigate typical ER issues.
  • You can interpret ER case data and translate it into meaningful trends and patterns to enable informed decisions and effective employment risk management
  • You are persuasive and pragmatic, you can skillfully advise HR colleagues and leaders consulting you about serious, high risk and complex issues, which may present PR and litigation risk, if handled badly
  • You can work in close partnership with critical stakeholders such as Legal and Compliance, earning their trust as a credible counterpart
  • You have managed large scale change projects
  • You already work in a complex and truly global organisation, you work well with ambiguity
  • You keep the employee experience front and centre of your decisions and actions.
YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)
  • 10-15 years of HR/ER experience, including investigations and training at a senior level, in large, complex multinational organisations .
  • Bachelor s degree or equivalent
  • High level of English proficiency (both written and spoken). Further language skills are beneficial
  • You may be an employment lawyer, but this role will not require you to give employment legal advice
  • You may be a senior person in your region, looking to make a move to a global role.
YOU LL WORK WITH
You ll work with the Head of Global Employee Relations, the Global ER COE team and their clients - ER and HR colleagues, line leaders and other COEs such as legal and compliance.
