Stores, Goods In & Stock Manager
to take full ownership of our material flow and stock control, ensuring production runs smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage all
Goods In
activities, including
unloading deliveries
, checking documentation, and verifying materials.
Ensure
accurate stock control
, including
cycle counting
, reconciling discrepancies, and maintaining a clean, organised store area.
Work closely with the
Purchasing Department
to ensure timely ordering and delivery of materials.
Prevent stock-outs and production delays by maintaining accurate minimum stock levels and proactive forecasting.
Feed raw materials into the
production areas
in a timely, efficient, and safe manner.
Develop and improve
stock control systems
using
SAGE 50 Accounts/Stock
, and help establish best practices in inventory management.
Ensure all stock is correctly labelled, stored, and handled in accordance with company procedures.
Manage stock locations, racking, space optimisation, and implement lean principles.
Play a key role in continuous improvement of stores operations and contribute to the wider efficiency of the business.
Skills & Experience:
Previous experience in a
similar role
, ideally in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
Strong working knowledge of
SAGE 50
or similar stock/accounting systems.
Excellent understanding of
stock management principles
, goods inwards processes, and material flow.
Strong organisational and communication skills.
Proactive attitude and ability to work autonomously and make decisions.
Forklift licence (counterbalance and/or reach) desirable but not essential.
