Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Grill Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of food safety practices. As a Grill Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality grilled dishes in a fast-paced restaurant environment, ensuring that all meals are cooked to perfection and presented beautifully.

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of grilled items according to the restaurant's menu and standards. Ensure all food safety and hygiene regulations are adhered to at all times. Assist in meal preparation by chopping, marinating, and seasoning ingredients as required. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including grills, utensils, and work surfaces. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient service during busy periods. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and communicate needs to the kitchen manager. Help train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and safety practices.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Grill Cook or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant setting. Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food preparation. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in meal presentation. A passion for cooking and creating delicious meals that delight customers. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed. Culinary qualifications or relevant certifications are advantageous but not essential.
