Group HR Manager: Onsite in Blackburn

Salary: Negotiable DOE

Monday-Friday 37.5 hours/week

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and focused Group HR Manager to join our HR team and provide a high-quality human resources service to the management team and GAP employees across all departments that make up our multifaceted organisation.

The role will report to the Managing Director and offer huge variety. The successful candidate will be responsible for employee relations cases, recruitment and onboarding, HR policies and procedures, training and development, and HR data and systems.

You need to be CIPD Level 7 qualified and have excellent knowledge of UK employment law. You must have a minimum 3 years' previous experience as a HR manager working as part of the organisation's senior leadership team.

Primary Objective:



Oversee the HR function across multiple sites. As the Group HR Manager, your role will be pivotal in developing and implementing human resources strategies that align with our business objectives.

You will be tasked with creating and enhancing the framework for employee management by formulating an HR strategy, nurturing the HR team, and aligning Management Development. You will also establish and maintain connections with external contacts, professional advisors, and regulatory bodies.

Key Responsibilities:



Develop and implement HR strategies and policies that align with the company's overall objectives Develop, design, maintain and implement HR procedures to ensure the department produces timely and accurate documentation Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR matters, including employee relations, performance management, and employee development Oversee the recruitment and selection process, ensuring the timely and effective hiring of qualified candidates Manage employee relations issues by investigating complaints and resolving conflicts in a fair and objective manner Design and deliver HR training programs to enhance the skills and capabilities of our workforce Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement compensation and benefits programs that attract and retain top talent Stay up to date with current labour laws and HR best practices to ensure compliance and mitigate risk

Person Specification:



Education and Qualification:



Graduate Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development or equivalent relevant qualification.

Work Experience:



Proven experience as an HR Manager, preferably in a multi-site organisation Experience of managing an HR Team Experience of working as a member of the Senior Leadership Team

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:



In-depth knowledge of HR practices, policies, and procedures Strong understanding of employment laws and regulations Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels Solid problem-solving and decision-making abilities Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion Lead the HR Team to meet multiple deadlines.
