The Company

The Role
  • The Group Manufacturing Director is responsible for planning, directing, and leading the manufacturing operations activities for the group, ensuring safe, sustainable, competitive, efficient, and cost-effective operations to meet the current and future strategic business needs of the company.
  • Leading a multi-site network of production factories in the UK, the initial focus of your role will be to identify and drive efficiencies through the plants, whilst helping to ensure the group\'s performance across health & safety, and quality, is both industry leading and constantly improving.
  • The role of Group Manufacturing Director reports to the CEO, sits on the group\'s Executive Committee, and will be part of the future succession management strategy of the business. As such, this underlines the need for an individual with the necessary leadership and transformation experience, as well as future growth potential.
The Candidate
  • This is a leadership role for a highly accomplished Manufacturing Director, with a track record of leading a multi-site network of manufacturing plants, where you will have successfully led a programme of transformation and modernisation to improve the sites\' safety, production, and commercial performance.
  • A proven manufacturing leader, you will be someone who empowers your teams, and who is equally adept being strategic as you are getting into the day-to-day operational details of the plants. You will be strong, commercially, and comfortable working in a data-led environment, with a proven track record of applying continuous improvement processes effectively to different scenarios and markets. You will also possess a pragmatic and down-to-earth approach, that will enable you to establish relationships at all levels of the business.
  • Sectors of interest include manufacturers of products used in the Energy, Oil & Gas, Construction, Transportation & Distribution, and Industrial sectors, which have a multi-site manufacturing network. A track record within an engineering/design led business, and experience of the construction supply chain would be advantageous.
