The Marketing & Brand Assistant will be creative and proactive with the drive and ambition to develop a career in Marketing. Able to work under their own initiative, prioritise, have a positive approach and the confidence to put forward their own ideas when appropriate. In particular a flair for writing engaging, persuasive yet concise copy is essential.

About The Role



Roles and Responsibilities:



Working closely with the Marketing Team and Department Managers to fulfill the marketing strategy for the company, in line with the company objectives. Contribute to marketing briefing documents to go alongside any new campaigns or promotions and produce marketing tool kits for key dates such as Mother's Day, Easter etc. Supporting the Group Marketing Manager with managing and developing the database, as well as writing and sending out regular e-newsletters and creating blogs Managing website content and maximizing the opportunities to drive online revenue. Social media platforms - developing content to build engagement and visibility, assisting with the planning calendar, the agreed schedule and goals set Manage all images in line with branding including 3rd Party images Obtaining Quotes for printed marketing material and creating orders as needed Keen eye for attention to detail with computer work and designing/updating adverts, flyers, posters, banners, brochures and menus around the hotel. Keep entries on external websites up to date Operate as a brand champion to ensure properties are always on brand. Handling phone calls and emails General administration Maintain awareness of competitor promotions and pricing, and be aware of opportunities to develop local relationships Developing and implementing ideas for marketing and sales throughout the hotel Attending/presenting at outside promotional events and supporting the Group Sales and Marketing Manager in all aspects of their work. Making sure all literature around the hotels are up to date and in good condition.

Working Pattern



20 hour per week, mainly Monday to Friday although it would be expected to have the flexibility to work evenings and weekends for specific tasks and travel on occasion to the group resorts.

Required Criteria



GCSE English grade C /4 or above GCSE Maths grade C/4 or above Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office suite Proficient in marketing and branding software Experience of working in marketing and branding, including management of campaigns, via websites and social media Writing promotional content for different mediums, including social media posts and online communications Developing a positive brand image and ensuring this is apparent across different mediums Ability to develop and implement an effective marketing campaign for specific events Customer-service experience, including complaint handling.

Desired Criteria



Experience of using Res-Diary; Ez-runner; Rezlinx Planning calendar of events and activity Experience within hospitality industry Willingness to undertake further training. Coaching and mentoring Qualifications in Marketing and Communications
