Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Fitness Manager to run our new gym. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving programme growth. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual with strong management, leadership, and organisational skills to make a significant impact within our organisation. The Fitness Manager will play a vital role in creating a welcoming environment that promotes health and wellness.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise the fitness centre, including training and administrative duties, ensuring high standards of service delivery. Develop and implement programmes that meet client needs and organisational goals, including specialised fitness classes and wellness initiatives. Manage daily operations, including scheduling, membership management, and maintaining cleanliness and safety standards. Drive sales through effective merchandising, promotional activities, and excellent phone etiquette to attract new members and retain existing clients. Oversee retail management of fitness products and merchandise, ensuring proper stock levels and presentation. Ensure all equipment and the gym is clean and operational. Monitor financial performance by analysing sales data and managing budgets efficiently. Foster a positive environment through strong communication skills, and organisational abilities. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for all members.

Qualifications

Proven management experience within the fitness or retail industry, with previous supervisory or team management roles preferred. Strong leadership qualities with excellent communication skills in English; multilingual or bilingual abilities are advantageous. Demonstrated organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Experience in sales management, merchandising, and administrative tasks related to fitness centre operations. Exceptional time management skills coupled with professional phone etiquette. Ability to motivate teams through effective supervision and leadership practices. Knowledge of health & safety regulations relevant to fitness facilities is desirable.
