Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Handy Man to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a diverse range of maintenance and repair skills, demonstrating the ability to tackle various tasks efficiently. This role is essential in ensuring that properties are well-maintained and that all repairs are completed to a high standard. The Handy Man will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, and improvements in residential and commercial settings.

Responsibilities

Conduct general maintenance and repairs on buildings, including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry tasks. Perform routine inspections of premises to identify issues that require attention. Respond promptly to repair requests from clients or management. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while performing all tasks. Assist with the installation of fixtures, fittings, and appliances as needed. Keep accurate records of work completed and materials used. Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide excellent customer service.

Skills

Proficient in basic plumbing, electrical work, and carpentry skills. Strong problem-solving abilities with attention to detail. Excellent time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Good communication skills for interacting with clients and colleagues. Familiarity with health and safety regulations related to maintenance work. Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential.
