We are seeking a skilled and reliable Handy Man to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a diverse range of maintenance and repair skills, enabling them to tackle various tasks effectively. This role is essential for ensuring that our properties remain in excellent condition, providing a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. The Handy Man will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, and improvements across multiple sites.

Responsibilities

Conduct general maintenance and repairs on buildings, fixtures, and fittings. Perform plumbing tasks such as fixing leaks, unclogging drains, and installing new fixtures. Carry out electrical repairs including changing light bulbs, replacing switches, and troubleshooting minor electrical issues. Handle carpentry work including repairing doors, windows, and furniture. Paint walls and touch up surfaces as needed to maintain aesthetic appeal. Assist with tasks such as outdoor maintenance. Respond promptly to maintenance requests. Able to pick up materials as needed.

Requirements

Proven experience in general maintenance or maintenance person roles is preferred. Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, and painting techniques. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing time effectively. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Good physical condition with the ability to lift heavy objects when necessary. Valid driving licence is advantageous for picking up materials when needed. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members. A proactive attitude towards learning new skills or techniques related to property maintenance.
