We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality beverages, maintaining cleanliness in the cafe, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for our customers.

Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including espresso-based drinks, teas, and smoothies. Maintain food safety standards by adhering to proper hygiene practices during food preparation and service. Operate coffee machines and equipment efficiently while ensuring they are cleaned and maintained regularly. Provide excellent customer service by taking orders accurately and engaging with customers in a friendly manner. Handle cash transactions and manage the till with basic math skills for accurate payment processing. Assist with food preparation, including pastries and snacks, ensuring freshness and quality at all times. Keep the cafe area clean and organised, including tables, counters, and equipment, to create an inviting environment for guests. Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service without compromising quality.

Qualifications

Previous barista experience is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate. Knowledge of food safety practices is essential to ensure compliance with health regulations. Strong serving skills with the ability to interact positively with customers from diverse backgrounds. Basic math skills are required for handling cash transactions accurately. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. A passion for coffee culture and an eagerness to learn about different brewing techniques and beverage recipes.
