Job Overview


We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in culinary arts, with a proven track record in food production and team management. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, ensuring that our dishes meet the highest standards of quality and presentation while maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.

Duties



Supervise and manage kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and positive team atmosphere. Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure consistency and quality in every dish served. Develop and implement innovative menu items that reflect current culinary trends while catering to customer preferences. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of hygiene throughout the kitchen. Train and mentor kitchen staff in cooking techniques, food safety practices, and effective kitchen operations. Manage inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed to ensure the kitchen is adequately stocked. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction. Maintain an organised kitchen environment, ensuring equipment is properly maintained and cleaned.

Requirements



Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality setting. Strong supervisory experience with demonstrated leadership skills in managing a diverse team. Extensive knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards. Excellent culinary skills with a passion for creating high-quality dishes. Previous experience in food production within a fast-paced environment is essential. Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure. A commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety in the kitchen. Ability to communicate effectively with both kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth operations. Pay: From 12.60 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 30 per week
