Following a change in personel circumstances we are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our kitchen team in delivering exceptional culinary experiences. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food preparation and production, with a flair for creativity and a commitment to high standards of hospitality. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, ensuring the quality of dishes served, managing and working with an existing team.
Responsibilities
Menu Development and Food Preparation
Develop and implement innovative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends.
Supervise and coordinate all kitchen activities, ensuring efficient food production and preparation processes.
Conduct regular quality checks on food presentation and taste before serving.
Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in accordance with health & safety regulations.
Train, mentor, and manage kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.
Monitor and control portion sizes and food costs to achieve financial targets set by the General Manager
Operational Management
Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies to ensure the kitchen is well-stocked.
Collaborate with front-of-house / events staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
Handle any issues that arise within the kitchen promptly and effectively.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food preparation, and production processes.
Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
A passion for cooking with a creative approach to menu development.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of kitchen operations.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards.
Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications are required
