We are currently on the search for a talented Head Chef with experience preparing quality food in a fast pace environment. The Firepit is a family run business with the aim to create unique dining experiences at affordable prices. We are committed to serving the best ingredients available and delivering great service in our superbly designed restaurants.
The successful candidate will assist the Executive chef in both culinary and administrative duties, whilst communicating with the Managing director, General Manager and the whole kitchen team. We are looking for a professional who is dedicated to food quality and sets high standards.
The job role includes:
Controlling and directing the food preparation process
Approving and polishing dishes before they reach the customer
Managing and working closely with other Chefs of all levels
Determining food inventory needs, stocking and ordering
Ultimately responsible for ensuring the kitchen meets all regulations including sanitary and food safety guidelines
Being responsible for health and safety
Being responsible for food hygiene practices
Creating and publishing rotas
Monitor and manage staff hours
Requirements:
2+ years managing a kitchen.
Knowledge of best practice for training kitchen staff.
High communication skills.
An eye for detail.
Desirable:
- Level 3 Food Hygiene
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: Up to 30,000.00 per year
