As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality, while fostering a positive and collaborative environment within the kitchen.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage the kitchen team, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient food production.
Develop and design innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends while meeting customer preferences.
Supervise food preparation processes to maintain high standards of quality, presentation, and taste.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and best practices in all aspects of kitchen operations.
Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage food costs to optimise profitability.
Train and mentor kitchen staff in culinary techniques, food safety practices, and effective teamwork.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and an exceptional dining experience for guests.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in accordance with health and safety regulations.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar leadership role within a restaurant or hospitality environment.
Strong culinary skills with a solid understanding of various cooking techniques and cuisines.
Excellent leadership abilities with experience in supervising and training kitchen staff.
In-depth knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
