Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of culinary arts, food preparation, and restaurant operations. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen activities, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation, while creating a positive and productive work environment.

Duties

Supervise and manage kitchen staff, ensuring efficient team management and collaboration. Oversee food preparation and production processes to maintain quality and consistency in all dishes. Develop innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends while catering to customer preferences. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the kitchen environment. Train and mentor kitchen staff in cooking techniques, presentation skills, and hospitality standards. Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and minimising waste to ensure cost-effective operations. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area at all times.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality setting. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team. Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, culinary trends, and kitchen management practices. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in food presentation and hygiene standards. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality output. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with staff and customers alike. A passion for culinary excellence coupled with a commitment to delivering outstanding hospitality experiences.
Rate of pay dependent on experience. Benefits and bonuses available with good performance.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 14.00-16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
