We're Hiring: Head Chef - Colchester

Are you a passionate culinary leader who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen and loves the buzz of delivering high-quality food at scale? We're on the lookout for a Head Chef to join our team in Colchester--someone who's as excited about flavour, food safety, and team spirit as we are.

What's the role about?

As our Head Chef, you'll be the heartbeat of our kitchen operations. You'll lead a talented team, oversee production, and work closely with our Product Development team to make sure every dish that leaves the kitchen is spot-on--every time. From recipe precision to food safety, you'll set the standard and inspire others to follow it.

What you'll be doing:

Leading and motivating a team of chefs and kitchen staff Ensuring recipes are followed to the letter and dishes are consistently delicious Acting as the go-to person for both day-to-day kitchen operations and new product development Championing food safety, quality, and innovation Managing resources, hitting production targets, and keeping the kitchen running like clockwork Supporting and developing your team, including two sous chefs

What we're looking for:

Solid experience in large-scale production kitchens Proven leadership in a kitchen or food manufacturing setting Level 3 Food Safety and GNVQ2/3 (or equivalent experience) A sharp eye for detail and a love for great food Confident with kitchen systems and paperwork (yes, even batch records!) A collaborative, can-do attitude and a calm head under pressure

Hours: Full-time


Salary: 40,000 - 45,000


Reports to: Head of Operations & Head of Culinary (Product Development)
