We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our kitchen team in delivering exceptional food experiences. The Head Chef will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of food preparation and production, ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. This role requires strong leadership skills to manage their team in a fast-paced bar/restaurant environment.
Duties
Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to food safety standards.
Oversee food preparation and presentation, maintaining high standards of quality and consistency.
With the Exec Head Chef, develop and implement innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends and customer preferences.
Manage inventory, ordering supplies, and controlling food costs to ensure profitability.
Train and mentor kitchen staff in kitchen techniques, food safety practices, and customer service excellence.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery and guest satisfaction.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to health regulations at all times.
Skills
Strong background in food preparation with extensive knowledge of prep and cooking techniques.
Proven experience in supervising kitchen staff and managing a team effectively.
In-depth and current understanding of food safety regulations and best practices within the hospitality industry.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a busy restaurant environment.
Creative flair for menu development with a passion for high-quality food production.
Strong communication skills to foster teamwork between kitchen and front-of-house staff.
Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in all aspects of food service.
