Experienced Head Chef - Indian Restaurant in Edgware

Salary: 500 per week

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Head Chef for our well-established Indian restaurant and takeaway in Edgware.

This is a hands-on role suited for someone who is reliable, motivated, and passionate about Indian cuisine. The ideal candidate should be able to follow our existing recipes closely and maintain consistent quality.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare a variety of Indian dishes, including: Chicken and lamb curries Basic gravies Indo-Chinese dishes (Manchurian and Schezwan sauces) Tandoori items and naan breads Maintain high standards of kitchen hygiene and cleanliness Supervise kitchen staff, manage workflow, and report any issues to the owner Wash cooking utensils, frying pans, and maintain overall kitchen cleanliness Control stock, manage inventory, and assist in pricing of dishes Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control
Requirements:

Proven experience in Indian restaurant cooking Ability to follow recipes and maintain food quality Skilled in tandoori cooking and bread preparation Strong leadership and organisational skills Must be reliable, hard-working, and a team player Able to work in a fast-paced environment Must live near or be able to travel to Edgware Must have the right to work in the UK
