Job Summary


We are seeking a talented and experienced Head Chef at our Harpenden Park location to lead our kitchen team in delivering exceptional brunch and lunch dishes along with our delicious bagels. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food preparation and production, with a passion for hospitality and team management. As the Head Chef, you will oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring that our menu items and bagels are prepared to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Duties



Supervise and manage kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient working environment along with creating rotas. Oversee food preparation and cooking processes, ensuring adherence to recipes and presentation standards. Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout the kitchen and storage areas. Develop new menu items, incorporating seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends. Train and mentor kitchen staff in culinary techniques, food safety practices, and operational procedures. Manage inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction. Monitor kitchen performance metrics, adjusting processes as necessary to improve efficiency.

Experience



Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar role within a high-volume kitchen environment. Strong culinary skills with a deep understanding of food preparation techniques and food safety regulations. Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in supervising and managing a diverse team. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment and plan months ahead. A passion for hospitality and commitment to delivering outstanding dining experiences.

Our flagship restaurant in Harpenden also offers a breakfast and lunch service. We strive to offer friendly and welcoming customer service throughout our business.

Brad & Dills was founded by two friends who grew up in Hertfordshire. Their mission was to bring a well rounded quality food and drink business using the industry experience they learnt in London and other cities across the globe. They realised that their home county needed a business like this and therefore set out to create Brad & Dills.

The business started in 2021 through the challenging COVID outbreak but navigated successfully through it and now has 4 sites, all of which have been very successful and are continuing to grow in popularity.
