Overview

We are seeking a talented and experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen team in delivering exceptional culinary experiences. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food production and culinary arts, with a passion for hospitality and a commitment to food safety. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food preparation and presentation, while fostering a positive and productive work environment. The ideal candidate must be able to work with gastro pub classic dishes as well as international dishes.

Responsibilities

Supervise and manage kitchen staff, ensuring effective team management and collaboration. Oversee food production processes, maintaining quality control and consistency in all dishes. Lead the food preparation process, creating innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment. Train and mentor kitchen staff, promoting professional development and culinary skills. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery. Manage inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed to maintain operational efficiency. Monitor kitchen performance metrics and implement improvements where necessary.

Skills

Proven supervising experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Strong background in food production with extensive culinary experience. Excellent team management skills, fostering a collaborative atmosphere among staff. Proficient in food preparation techniques and cooking methods across various cuisines. In-depth knowledge of food safety standards and best practices. Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable. Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and inspire a team. A passion for hospitality and delivering outstanding customer service.
