Working with a team of chefs, no long restaurant hours or late nights. off every Sunday, Monday Tuesday. Closed for 2 weeks over the 12th fortnight and 2 weeks at Christmas.
We are seeking a passionate Head Chef to lead our kitchen team in delivering exceptional culinary experiences And add strong ideas to next a chippy to the next level. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food production and preparation, alongside excellent team management skills. As the Head Chef, you will oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring that our restaurant maintains the highest standards of food quality, safety, and presentation.
Duties
Supervise and manage all kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
Oversee food preparation and production processes to ensure consistency and quality in every dish served.
Develop innovative menu items that reflect current culinary trends while meeting customer preferences.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean and organised kitchen at all times.
Train and mentor kitchen staff in cooking techniques, food safety practices, and efficient kitchen operations.
Collaborate with management on inventory control, ordering supplies, and managing food costs effectively.
Assist in the planning of special events or catering services as required by the restaurant.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar culinary leadership role within a restaurant setting.
Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety standards, and kitchen management practices.
Excellent team management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate staff.
Proficient in supervising food preparation processes while ensuring high standards of quality are met.
A passion for cooking with a creative flair for developing new dishes that delight customers.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
