Job Overview


We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in culinary arts and restaurant management, with a flair for creating innovative dishes that delight our guests. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of food preparation and production, ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality are maintained. You will play a crucial role in shaping the culinary direction of our establishment while fostering a positive and efficient kitchen environment.

Responsibilities



Lead and manage the kitchen team, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth operations. Oversee food preparation and production processes, maintaining high standards of quality and presentation. Develop and design seasonal menus that reflect current culinary trends while considering customer preferences. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, organised kitchen environment. Monitor inventory levels, placing orders for supplies as needed to ensure seamless service. Train and supervise kitchen staff, fostering a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure exceptional guest experiences through effective communication. Conduct regular performance evaluations for kitchen staff, providing constructive feedback and opportunities for growth.

Skills



Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar role within the restaurant industry. Strong culinary skills with a deep understanding of food preparation techniques and presentation. Excellent knowledge of food safety practices and regulations. Ability to manage a diverse team effectively, promoting collaboration and high morale. Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Creative mindset with an eye for detail in both flavour profiles and dish presentation. Exceptional communication skills to liaise effectively with both kitchen and front-of-house teams. A passion for hospitality and delivering outstanding dining experiences.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 12.00-13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12 - 23 per week
