The Fox Inn is a recently renovated country pub, on the outskirts of Kettering, which will be serving good quality food and drink.

We acquired the fox inn public house to our portfolio of premises this year and after extensive work which was carried out, we are now ready to open and are looking for a talented and experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen team in delivering exceptional culinary experiences. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food production and preparation, along with proven leadership skills to manage and inspire a team. This role requires a passion for hospitality and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of food safety and quality.

Responsibilities

Oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food production and service. Supervise and manage kitchen staff, providing training and guidance to enhance their skills. Develop and implement menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends. Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness in accordance with health regulations. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction. Monitor inventory levels, ordering supplies as necessary to maintain stock. Conduct regular quality checks on food presentation and taste before serving. Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and creativity.

Qualifications

Proven experience in a similar role within the restaurant or hospitality industry. Strong supervisory experience with the ability to lead and motivate a diverse team. Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and culinary trends. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen management. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with staff and guests alike. A passion for cooking, creativity in menu design, and an eye for detail in presentation. Previous experience in high-volume kitchens is highly desirable.
