Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in culinary arts and demonstrate exceptional leadership skills. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of food production, ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality while creating a welcoming atmosphere for both staff and guests.

Duties

Lead and manage the kitchen team, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment. Oversee food preparation and production processes to ensure consistency and quality in all dishes. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of hygiene throughout the kitchen. Train, mentor, and evaluate kitchen staff to enhance their skills and performance. Manage inventory, ordering supplies, and controlling food costs to maximise profitability. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction. Assist in the development of special events or promotions that highlight the culinary offerings.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar role within the hospitality industry. Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, food production techniques, and culinary trends. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively. Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations is essential. Exceptional organisational skills with attention to detail in food preparation and presentation. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards. A passion for cooking and creativity in menu development is highly desirable.
