Duties

Supervise and manage kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment. Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure consistency and quality in every dish served. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness throughout the kitchen. Train and mentor kitchen staff in cooking techniques, food safety practices, and presentation standards. Manage inventory levels, ordering supplies as necessary to ensure smooth kitchen operations. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during peak times. Monitor kitchen performance metrics and implement improvements as needed to enhance efficiency.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar role within the hospitality industry. Strong culinary skills with extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques. Experience in supervising and managing a team effectively. Excellent leadership abilities with a focus on team motivation and development. In-depth understanding of food safety regulations and best practices. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with both kitchen and front-of-house teams.
