Head Chef / Kitchen Manager
Location: Colchester, CO5
Hours: 30 per week
Salary: 14.00 per hour
We are looking for a passionate and experienced
Head Chef
to lead our kitchen team. If you are motivated, creative, and have proven experience in managing a busy kitchen, we'd love to hear from you.Key Responsibilities:
Lead and inspire the kitchen team to deliver high-quality meals. Plan menus that are nutritious, varied, and cost-effective. Oversee food preparation, presentation, and portion control. Ensure compliance with food hygiene, safety, and health regulations. Manage stock control, ordering, and budgeting effectively. Support, train, and develop junior kitchen staff.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef in a similar setting. NVQ Level 3 in Catering or equivalent qualification (desirable). Strong leadership and organisational skills. Excellent knowledge of kitchen health and safety standards. A passion for delivering outstanding food and service.
