Job Summary


We are seeking a passionate and experienced Head Chef to lead a small/medium kitchen team in delivering exceptional culinary experiences. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food preparation and production, with a flair for creativity and a commitment to high standards of hospitality. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for managing kitchen operations, supervising staff, and ensuring that every dish meets our quality expectations.

Duties



Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation and cooking. Supervise and manage kitchen staff, providing rotas, guidance and support to help them develop their skills. Menu creation and curation. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment. Monitor food production processes to ensure quality control and consistency in presentation. Manage inventory levels, ordering supplies as necessary to maintain stock levels. Train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques, equipment usage, and safety protocols. Work with suppliers to maintain high quality products with competitive prices. Keeping within budgets set out by the General Manager. Report to the General Manager.

Skills



Strong supervisory skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively. Proficient in food preparation techniques with extensive knowledge of culinary practices. Excellent team management skills, fostering a positive work environment within the kitchen. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced restaurant setting while maintaining attention to detail. Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently. A passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional dining experiences. Great understanding of profit and loss. Creativity in menu development and presentation of dishes.

Pay: 36,000.00-39,500.00 per year
