As a Head Chef you are solely responsible for the successful running of the kitchen and you are in a position of high responsibility within the operation and key to the success of the business and thus must always carry yourself in a professional manner.
Your tasks will include (but are not necessarily limited too), the efficient and successful running of the kitchen in line with company procedure.
You will need to control rotas/ ordering/stock/allergens/menus/ team.
Be involved with the production and service of all food leaving the kitchen.
Take an active role in the recruitment and training of all chefs in the kitchen.
Be a positive influence on others.
Liaise well with the General Manger and FOH team and create a cohesive environment to work in.
Interact well with customers.
Ensure that the kitchen is kept to the highest standards of cleanliness, accepting, and organizing deliveries.
Have exceptional knowledge in and adhere to all health and safety and food safety practices.
Always be an ambassador for the business and work to the highest standards.
