Responsibilities
Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring efficient food production and service.
Develop innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends while catering to customer preferences.
Manage kitchen staff, providing training and guidance to ensure high standards of food preparation and presentation.
Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene practices.
Collaborate with suppliers to source high-quality ingredients and manage inventory effectively.
Ensure that all kitchen equipment is maintained in good working order and report any issues promptly.
Monitor food costs and implement strategies to minimise waste while maximising quality.
Foster a collaborative team environment, encouraging creativity and teamwork among staff.
Skills
Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, with a strong background in culinary arts.
A highly creative approach to your work with excellent attention to detail;
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hospitality.
Exceptional organisational skills with attention to detail in food production processes.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards.
Experience in managing staff costs, scheduling and reviewing staff rotas;
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with team members and suppliers.
Strengths in finances, purchasing and menu costing;
A passion for cooking and the ability to inspire others through your culinary expertise.
