Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hospitality and culinary arts, with a focus on food safety and production. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, managing staff, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation and managing a small team within the Kitchen.

Duties

Lead and manage the kitchen team, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment. Develop and implement creative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends. Supervise food preparation and cooking processes to ensure adherence to recipes and presentation standards. Maintain strict food safety and hygiene standards in accordance with health regulations. Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage food costs effectively. Train, mentor, and evaluate kitchen staff to enhance their skills and performance. Collaborate with front-of-house management to ensure seamless service delivery. Handle any customer feedback or complaints regarding food quality or service promptly and professionally.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality setting. Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety regulations, and kitchen management practices. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and supervise a diverse team. Exceptional organisational skills with attention to detail in food presentation and preparation. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards. A passion for culinary arts with creativity in menu development and dish presentation. Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications are desirable but not essential.
