Duties

Supervise and manage the kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment. Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure high-quality dishes are served consistently. Develop and implement menu items that align with seasonal ingredients and customer preferences. Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards within the kitchen. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction. Train and mentor kitchen team members, promoting culinary skills and knowledge. Manage inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed while minimising waste. Monitor kitchen performance and implement improvements where necessary to enhance efficiency.

Qualifications

Proven experience in a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality environment. Strong supervisory skills with experience in team management. Extensive knowledge of food production techniques and culinary practices. Excellent cooking skills with a creative flair for menu development. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen. Previous experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment is essential.
