Owing to our continued growth we are seeking a passionate and skilled Senior Chef to join our team at The Two Brewers in Northaw, our second site.
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our kitchen team in delivering exceptional culinary experiences. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of food production and preparation, ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality are maintained.
We aspire to make the The Two Brewers not only one of the best dining pubs in Hertfordshire but in all of East Anglia. For this role we are looking for a dynamic Head Chef to help us achieve this vision.
Duties
Develop and design innovative menus that reflect current food trends while considering customer preferences.
Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food production and preparation processes.
Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
Lead, train, and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment and encouraging professional development.
Manage inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
Monitor food presentation and quality to maintain high standards in every dish served.
Assist in budgeting and cost control measures to maximise profitability while maintaining quality.
Experience
Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar leadership role within a restaurant setting.
Strong culinary skills with a deep understanding of food preparation techniques and kitchen management.
Demonstrated knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in a commercial kitchen environment.
Excellent leadership abilities with experience in team management and staff training.
Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in a busy kitchen setting.
A passion for cooking and creativity in menu development is essential.
